Good Win Racing Budget Front Big Brake Kit for Mazda MX-5 NC

Goodwin Racing have designed their budget front BBK to ensure it retains the superb braking balance that the Mazda MX-5 NC naturally has. To ensure maximum bang for buck, Goodwin have designed this kit to balance well with the factory rear brake size.

Thanks to the carefully designed scalloped aluminium rotor hats Goodwin have used, these 12.19″(310mm) rotors weigh even lighter than the stock rotors. Combined with the weight savings from the aluminium calipers, this removes up to 5.5+ kg of unsprung weight savings.

The 310mm Wilwood rotors used in the kit greatly improve braking torque and offers significantly better thermal capacity than the factory rotors. Wilwood rotors are also readily available and easy to get when you need replacements.

Goodwin’s kit uses their own custom CNC Machined brackets all designed in-house. Made from the highest-grade aluminium with steel thread inserts, these brackets are designed for superior strength and rigidity and feature Goodwin’s signature hard anodizing.

The included stainless steel braided lines are the most durable and heavy-duty lines on the market, custom made for Goodwin and featuring DOT fittings.

Upgrading your Mazda MX-5 NC to this BBK gives you access to the wide and familiar selection of performance brake pads. Replacement pad costs for these callipers are also very affordable. Kit includes BP20 pads which are great for street/light performance use and match very well with factory pads in the rear.

Brake Discs

Disc options include Ultralight 32(UL32) straight vane economy rotors for the lightest weight option, with the plain version being ideal for street and light track duty, and the drilled and grooved option suitable for slightly more aggressive track use. Alternatively, HD 36 curved vane rotors feature curved internal vanes and premium grade carbon iron for the highest cooling capacity and longevity possible, the best choice for hard track use.

Warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship only. The warranty is good for the period stated in the additional info tab from the date of purchase. Mileage warranties are for road use only and proof of mileage is required. Products must be installed by an independent experienced professional mechanic and the suspected defect must be present at the outset. The warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, failure to comply with the maintenance requirements of the vehicle, processing or otherwise changing the product, ordinary wear and tear, or any other external influences. Warranties are invalid if the product is used for racing, rallying, drifting, track days or any other form of motorsport or competition. Making a warranty claim

Proof of purchase receipt showing the date of purchase, proof of mileage at installation, proof of current mileage and invoice of the work undertaken by an independent experienced professional mechanic must be supplied along with the returned products for a warranty claim to be considered. If your vehicle needs to be used whilst your warranty claim is considered replacement parts from the same manufacturer should be purchased through BOFI Racing. In the event of a successful warranty claim, we will refund the card that was originally used to purchase the replacement parts, in full or in part depending on the nature of the claim. BOFI Racing reserves the right to make full or partial compensation at its sole discretion depending on the condition and mileage use of the returned suspect parts. For example, if you have used the part for several thousand miles before a defect is noticed, only partial compensation may be offered.
