This intercooler solution for your boosted Mazda MX-5 NA & NB is designed to suit everything from an M45 supercharger to an EFR turbocharger; this system is plug-and-play and will handle up to a whopping 350hp.
We’ve looked at the modifications we’ve done ourselves over the years and have built a one-size-fits-all system that incorporates provisions for IDLE, BOV, IAT and a MAP line for the Turbo Wastegate, which we’ve tested to give a far more linear throttle and removes most of the rubber banding present in some turbo builds.
The intercooler mounts support a 230mm high intercooler, with optimised distance to the radiator and compatibility with the factory air dam – it fills the mouth of the car yet won’t ruin airflow to the radiator.
And finally, the entire pipe run is 2.5” internal diameter, with 6mm wall thickness silicone hose – we have run these at over 21psi of boost without issue. All the mould angles have been checked to ensure consistent diameter throughout the bends.

- The product will be displayed for demonstration purposes; the final product will be as per specification. The blow Off valve is sold separately, the IAT sensor is sold separately, and the Idle hose may be re-used from the factory.
- If a coolant re-route is installed, the throttle body elbow can be cut up to 35mm for clearance.
- The intercooler pictured is 180mm in height.
- The Up-pipe is not customisable. Blanks are provided for unused sections – you may re-purpose as needed.
