SPS Motorsport BMW Gearbox Conversion Kit for Mazda MX-5 NA NB
After months of development, SPS Motorsport have finally released their BMW gearbox swap kit for the Mazda MX-5 NA & NB. Capable of taking pretty much anything you can throw at it, this is the ultimate solution for those wanting to push into the 300+hp mark. This kit is a plug and play conversion kit for high power BP & B6 engines and includes everything you’ll need for the installation.
SPS have cleverly developed this kit to use a custom PPF and retain the OEM prop. This means the gearbox is mounted to both the diff and the engine the same way Mazda designed it. This setup does away with the need for a hard body mount, significantly reducing NVH compared to other kits. SPS say this kit can withstand up to 500hp or a colossal 650nm.

- Driveshaft adapter (CroMo alloy steel, plasma nitrided)
- Gearbox adapter plate from Mazda B6/BP engine to BMW GS6-37BZ/DZ gearbox (EN AW-6061T6, anodised)
- Flywheel specially made for the kit (alloy steel, 6.8kg)
- Short shifter with automatic centring
- PPF frame, which fits on BMW gearboxes and Mazda original differential (7.5kg)
- Adapted shift linkage
- LUK clutch kit
- Wilwood clutch master cylinder
- TRW clutch slave cylinder
- Various bolts and mounting fittings

Caution! This gearbox was built in two variants. SPS chose the N47 gearbox (the starter motor has to be on the lower side) for the conversion.
