Want to supercharge your MX-5 but don’t want the hassle of assembling a kit yourself? Our complete Mazda MX-5 supercharger kits include everything you need to boost your car, saving you a great deal of time and effort. Designed to fit NA and NB MX-5s with both the 1.6 and 1.8-litre engines, our popular conversion kits are a great way to transform the performance of your car.
Our Miata kits are fully loaded, including most — if not all of — what you’ll need for your build. The fully prepped SR1 Supercharger Kit is especially comprehensive considering it’s priced at less than £2,690.
We also sell a Rotrex kit for MX-5 for NA and NB (Mk1 and Mk2) models. The SPS Motorsport Rotrex Supercharger Kit is designed in Germany, having originally been developed for the racetrack and then adapted for the road. This SPS kit contains a Rotrex Supercharger with connectors, an intercooler, an air filter, SPS Motorsport 700CC flow matched injectors, a Plug and Play ECU, mounting hardware and more.

Frequently asked questions
Does supercharging reduce engine life?
Supercharging your MX-5 won’t, on its own, reduce the car’s reliability or durability. However, adding more moving parts to a car without upgrading other internal components is a recipe for potential issues. It can cause problems if the engine parts are not built to handle the stress that an aftermarket performance part can add to the engine’s functionality.
Make sure you buy high-quality supercharging kits, like those we sell, and upgrade any additional, necessary parts along with the kit.
Will I need to modify my engine’s internals to run one of these kits?
That depends on the kit you choose. Our Rotrex kits can deliver in excess of 300 bhp, necessitating the use of forged pistons and rods. If you don’t want to go that far just yet, make sure you stick to around 250 bhp – much more than that, and the standard rods simply won’t be up to the task!
How much does an MX-5 supercharger kit cost?
Supercharger kits for MX-5’s can range vastly in price, depending on what’s included in the kit. Just remember, you get what you pay for, so don’t be too tempted by cheap kits that are likely to cause performance issues down the road due to parts quality.
