An often overlooked part of the hardtops are the little rubber caps on the end of the hardtop latch, these are usually either cracking or completely split and replacing them helps to better seal the latch against the hardtop. Jass’s latch caps have the exact dimensions of the OEM cap but are reinforced with carbon fibre for rigidity and graphite to reduce friction and prolong their life.

There are two versions available for the MX5 NA-NB-NBFL:

1. The one with the more pointy end was used for all latches until roughly 2003

2. The one with the more flat nose was used in the latter latches, used in NBFLs after 2003 (until 2005).

There are some NBFL cars that have the old latch cap design and vice versa, so its a good idea to check what your current car has before ordering

They are sold as single replacement per side, as they are not always needed for both sides.
