This listing is for a GCR2 bar compatbile with both Hardtops and Glass Screen Rear window soft tops. Plastics will fit but require a push to get down.
Note; These units are generally built to order and can take 2-4 weeks for delivery – trust us, it’s worth the wait.
The GCR series of roll bars are designed with safety and strength in mind, to do this some compromises have to be made with respect to seat movement – however, our testing has shown a driver of 6ft can find a suitable seating position, a bucket seat also helps massively.
Gcfabrications roll bars are not just a safety device they also aid chassis rigidity and improve handling.
This product is manufactured from MSA specified CDS tube and welded by fully qualified welder fabricators. Our roll bars are zinc primed and comes with a durable satin black powder coat finish.
BOFI Racing Highly Recommend the GCR range of rollbars and run them on our 3 ‘BOFI Spec Cars’ – These Rollbars are one of the largest you can install as a bolt in bar, using all available space with minimal intrusion into the cabin. They are strong, well made and frankly we’re not sure how you could improve further. They also serve as a perfect base to bolt door bars to, which GCFab also create, we’ve tested and absolutely love them.
They work with hardtops, soft tops, standard and bucket seats and do allow you to maintain the standard sealbelt – perfection.
Features Include:
Manufactured from high quality cold drawn seamless tube.
The cross bracing improves driver protection without impeding rear visibility, including the X brace.
Designed to work with soft tops and compatible with glass and plastic rear windows.
Suitable for use with hard tops
The GCR also comes with built in harness bar which allows full seat movement.
This product also comes with a high tensile fixing kit complete with sandwich plates.
Fits all RHD and LHD Mk1, Mk2 & 2.5 models
GCFabrications & BOFI Racing Shall not be held responsible for damage, injury or loss in connection with the installation and use of this product.
This is part of the sale agreement.

Amazing roll bar, great finish and quality.GC fabrications are some of the best in business. Have a GCR1 on my NB and can’t recommend it enough. You will need to do some cutting to install.
Nigel Cook –
Put one in over the winter, did it single handed and as I’m, err getting on in years, found that using a hoist helped immeasurably….fitted the door bars too and the whole setup seems to make the car feel much stiffer, would recommend, but you do need to do a bit of cutting.
deanedwards2013 –
If you are planning to delete the soft top, and permanently fit a hardtop, which type of GCR3 roll bar window option is best? Glass or Plastic?
Leigh Gray –
If there is a possibility you may reinstall a soft top in the future we would recommend glass as it will work with both glass and plastic soft tops.
