Garrett G25-550 Turbocharger for Mazda MX-5
The Garrett G25-550 offers a bolt-on upgrade to the latest Garrett technology for GT25 and GT28 turbochargers using a T2 inlet and 5 bolt outlet on the turbine housing.
The new forged and machined compressor wheel is latest generation Garrett technology with up to 15% more flow than the GTX series, Gen II series on 60mm wheels and even 30% more flow on 67mm compressor wheels. Combined with a high flow compressor housing and optional connection for the speed sensor, this is the ultimate upgrade for T2 type turbochargers with 5 bolt Garret turbine housings.
The turbine wheel is made of Mar-M (up to 1050? C resistant) with 15 to 20% more flow, meaning that even with a smaller A/R housing, back-pressure is reduced without sacrificing response and lag. The stainless steel turbine housing is heat-resistant up to 1050? C, dramatically improving longevity.
The CHRA features a V-band to the turbine housing to make adjusting the turbo for each application as simple as possible. Double ceramic ball bearings offer dramatically reduced friction, increasing responsiveness through reducing lag.
