This clutch is to suit a 1.8 NA/NB Flywheel, Standard, Competition Clutch, RPC or other standard design aftermarket.

With the success of our dual friction clutch that has been proven to take a reliable 300ftlbs with a near oem pedal feel we’ve been working to bring the next level of clutch for those people who are moving to twin disc style clutches for their MX5.

This system is full faced organic on both sides meaning its easy to use in traffic, isn’t harsh on the flywheel or the pressure plate and is relatively inexpensive to service. The issue with the MX5 clutch systems is the amount of force the stock style pressure plate can put on the disc, without keeping it solidly mated to the flywheel during operation you will have slipping issues.

Many other manufacturers use the same style with harder and harder springs which make the whole experience far more difficult on your clutch leg. We found the happy limit with our dual friction clutch but in order to go further the whole system needed to be completely redesigned.

You need stiff springs but you also need an aggressive lever for the clutch fork to push against so you need to put in far less effort than expected. This is about as close to oem a pedal feel as we can get, a little harder than the dual friction clutch is again a little harder than stock – but nothing like the common ‘stage 3 or 4’ units.

As it’s a custom billet pressure plate it comes with a quality release bearing in order to make it all work. We supply in the box a quality pilot bearing and a clutch alignment tool – installation is the same as any other clutch for the Mx5.

This product has been rigorously tested, manufactured in the UK and is fully supported by us here at BOFI Racing.

Warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship only. Warranty is for replacement of a similar product, repair of the original product or refund of the purchase value only and excludes all labour and incurred charges including towing, fitting, inconvenience, and purchases of other manufacturer's products. The warranty is good for the period stated in the additional info tab from the date of purchase. Mileage warranties are for road use only and proof of mileage is required. Products must be installed by an independent experienced professional mechanic and the suspected defect must be present at the outset. The warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, failure to comply with the maintenance requirements of the vehicle, processing or otherwise changing the product, ordinary wear and tear, or any other external influences. Warranties are invalid if the product is used for racing, rallying, drifting, track days or any other form of motorsport or competition. Making a warranty claim

Proof of purchase receipt showing the date of purchase, proof of mileage at installation, proof of current mileage and invoice of the work undertaken by an independent experienced professional mechanic must be supplied along with the returned products for a warranty claim to be considered. If your vehicle needs to be used whilst your warranty claim is considered replacement parts from the same manufacturer should be purchased through BOFI Racing. In the event of a successful warranty claim, we will refund the card that was originally used to purchase the replacement parts, in full or in part depending on the nature of the claim. BOFI Racing reserves the right to make full or partial compensation at its sole discretion depending on the condition and mileage use of the returned suspect parts. For example, if you have used the part for several thousand miles before a defect is noticed, only partial compensation may be offered.
