Jass’s hardtop brackets allow you to securely and permanently install the OEM hardtop. This can reduce body flex, wind noises and squeaking giving a coupe-like feeling.
Laser-cut from 4mm steel, pre-bent and powder coated, Jass has designed these as a direct fit with or without the interior trim. These brackets create a strong metal on metal connection between the hardtop and chassis.
By ditching the OEM clamps, you can also have a whopping 2KG of weight. If you’re mounting a hard top you may want to remove your soft top to further reduce weight and create more cabin space, ideal for track and race cars.

Installation notes
Jass recommend you use the following installation procedure for best results
- Loosely install the brackets on the hardtop (3 bolts)
- Centre the brackets on the frames with the 2 larger bolts
- Tighten the 3 hardtop bolts
- Push the hardtop in position using one of these techniques:a) A second person pushes the hardtop to the front for the front brackets and down for the rear bracket
b) Use one of the OEM clamps while tightening the bracket on the other side. You may need to slightly adjust the brackets after a short settling-in period using this method.
- Fix tight all the bolts on the brackets.
- The hardtop will settle into its final position quite fast, usually around 20-30km. If wind noise is present you may need to reinstall the front brackets. If you do this, you will need to remove the rears to allow for further adjustment.
- Some important things to note before installing the hardtop- Make sure rear mounts, the ones that attach to the Frankenstein bolts, have the rubber insulation underneath. Damaged or missing insulation can cause rear knocking noises.
– Before the installation, make sure you grease the rear hardtop seal with a silicone-based lubricant. This greatly reduces the likely hood of the seal squeaking.
